UNI-TOOL plan

CIVIL AND INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL DESIGN

UNI-TOOL plan - Picture 1 UNI-TOOL Plan is software developed on Windows 95/98/NT platform for civil and industrial electrical system design.

UNI-TOOL Plan consists of a powerful 2D CAD that allows one to generate, in an extremely easy and fast way, room planimetries on which you can position symbols and wires belonging to the electrical (or other) system. Following the planimetric system design, you can directly extract single/multi-wire schematics of the corresponding electrical panels.
The program has specific functions for cable and protection device dimensioning.

UNI-TOOL Plan directly extracts from designs, bills of materials and part lists (with detailed descriptions, prices, technical data, etc.) extracted from the UNI-TOOL internal database or from other external database files.

UNI-TOOL Plan also perfectly integrates and interfaces with UNI-TOOL Manager, another product of the UNI-TOOL family. With UNI-TOOL Manager it's possible to extract more complex and detailed bills of materials and estimates with prices, labor tables, cost analysis and warehouse management functions.

UNI-TOOL plan - Picture 2
UNI-TOOL Plan is developed in a proprietary environment absolutely independent of any other CAD programs (such as AutoCAD® or similar). Engineers and installers will find in this product all the commands and tools necessary for the completion of an electromechanical design with no need to resort to other external software.
It's the UNI-TOOL Plan complete independence from other systems that has made it possible to implement its specific procedures and commands. Thanks to these features, you can generate schematics and designs in a much faster and more intuitive way than compared with programs that operate on an already preexisting basis.

UNI-TOOL Plan is very easy-to-use because it works in Microsoft Windows®.

UNI-TOOL Plan is inexpensive because it's completely autonomous software and it doesn't require other CAD products (such as AutoCAD®) to operate. Therefore its cost is offset with the completion of the first project!

MAIN FEATURES

Facilitated planimetry design
Wall design with selectable thickness and inclination. Automatic wall connection with intersection cleaning. Door and window intersection with wall automatic cut. Horizontal, vertical and tilted dimensioning.
Possibility of directly importing planimetries (DXF format) from another CAD software (AutoCAD® or similar) in order to immediately generate the electrical system design.

System design
Alarms, anti-fire, telephone, TV, hydraulic, thermal and civil/industrial electrical system design by means of symbol positioning and covered wire/connection drawing. Bidimensional design with wire value regulation in order to exactly compute wire, cable and channel length for the final part list and for dimensioning estimates.

Symbol libraries
Over 1000 symbols in conformity with IEC norms. Visual symbol selection inside of a window that displays all the symbols of the selected library. Direct symbol loading by typing their code (guided mode). Unlimited possibility of either easily creating new symbols or modifying those already provided.

Electrical panels and functional schematics
Automatic creation of electric panel functional schematics starting from the system schematic. Automatic dimensioning computation based on distribution wires and protection devices. Automatic table filling with all data and descriptions. Customizable table shapes.
Possibility of creating the panel with no need to design the related electrical system.

Powerful graphical functions
Design with Cartesian, polar and tilted axis. Selectable measure units, design scale and grid points. A4, A3, A2, A1, A0, A, B, C, D, E or customizable sheet size. Predefined or customizable title block. Design on up to 256 layers. Automatic area sketching. Automatic quotation.

Design import/export in DXF format from other CAD programs
DXF interface to import designs in DXF format from other CAD programs (e.g. planimetries processed with AutoCAD® 12, 13, 14, 2000, LT).

Symbol legend automatic creation
Automatic extraction of the schematic legend with symbol direct computation.

Computation and dimensioning functions
Computation of cable load, section, voltage drop and length in conformity with parameters such as absorbed power, current, voltage, environment and cable temperature, cos-fi, cable type, placing type, number of wires in the cable and its insulator type. Functions to verify the protection devices, such as computation of s. c. min. current, min. protected length, I2t.

Part lists, bills of materials, estimates
Very simple and immediate creation of part lists, bills of materials and estimates thanks to a complete database which stores part numbers, descriptions, prices, etc. that can be used in connection with symbols placed on the design. Possibility of using either the UNI-TOOL internal database or external price lists provided by other electrical device suppliers (the following formats are supported: Microsoft Access®, Microsoft Excel®, Paradox, dBIII and dBIV, Metel).
Possibility of using UNI-TOOL cable link in connection with UNI-TOOL Manager for more complex bills of materials and special functions (labor tables, cost analysis, warehouse management functions, etc.).

Color print/Print preview
Possibility of using any ink-jet/laser printers and plotters supported by Microsoft Windows®.

Help on line
Direct access to information about every available command.

UNI-TOOL plan auto-training course
For better training in UNI-TOOL plan you can use UNI-TOOL Assistant, an interactive training-course about UNI-TOOL CADs on PC.
The course is based on hundreds of descriptive texts, pictures and examples in order to let you discover all the commands and techniques necessary to realize from simpler to more complex electrical system designs.
Thanks to guided descriptions of all available commands and detailed procedures you'll come to a deep knowledge of UNI-TOOL CAD structures, and you'll be able to take advantage of all their potential.

Totally developed for Microsoft Windows®
User interface totally organized in conformity with Microsoft Windows® standards for the leading application-oriented programs (Word, Excel, etc.), a feature that makes the program very easy-to-use.
