A frequency dependent analysis is extremely important to digital engineers when attempting to solve problems involving jitter. Inter-symbol interference, reflections, and crosstalk can only be solved correctly by analysing frequency dependent characteristics. The way to have an accurate frequency dependent electromagnetic analysis is to include non-linear (conductivity and permittivity dependent on E and H), inhomogeneous (calculations dependent on functions of space) and anisotropic materials (inclusion of loss angles in calculations), all which the SimLab software can accomplish.
