BACKGROUND
Advanced
EMC Solutions (aEMCs) was established in February,
2000 after extensive investigation and research
into the EDA industry. The main corporate focus
of aEMCs is to meet the evolving needs of the
electronic design market by focusing on world-class,
niche-specific, innovative and cost effective
EMC software and engineering solutions, including
EMC training. Simulation tools offered by aEMCs
provide the most powerful and capable solutions
available.
SOFTWARE
A prime example is PCBMod and CableMod from
SimLab Software GmbH in Germany. This state-of-the
art PCB and cabling EMC simulation software has
made a significant impact in the automotive, computer,
telecommunications, medical device and semiconductor
industries in Europe and has been at the forefront
of solving complex leading edge problems. aEMCs
is proud to introduce SimLab software to North,
South and Central America.
The goal of providing comprehensive EM solutions
was recently further enhanced with the partnership
of aEMCs, SimLab and EM Software & Systems
(EMSS) of South Africa. EMSS has developed a 3D
full-wave Method of Moments (MoM) based solver,
FEKO, and together with SimLab have collaborated
on CabFEK I/F, an interface between CableMod,
a cabling simulation tools and 2D field solver
for determination of transmission line characteristics
and FEKO. The combination of the two codes enables
the analysis of a unique but very important class
of EMC problems, namely, the interaction between
cable harnesses and their environment. The combination
of tools provides for a highly accurate and detailed
electromagnetic field analysis of large 3D objects
of arbitrary shapes such as sutomobiles, aircraft,
etc.
ENGINEERING SERVICES
In the area of engineering services, developing
a relationship with Siemens ATD and SimLab GmbH,
has enabled aEMCs to provide complete worldwide
industrial turnkey solutions from design and PCB
layout to assembly and fabrication, with heavy
emphasis on EMC engineering.
Partnering with Siemens ATD in Munich has afforded
aEMCs the opportunity of reaching out worldwide
with a second-to-none high performance electrical
and electronic system PCB design service. With
15 years of experience in High Speed Design and
EMC Engineering, Siemens' engineers can tackle
the most complex EMC design problems, thereby
supporting ever-changing and demanding customer
needs.
The high level engineering capabilities offered
by Siemens, SimLab and other aEMCs consulting
partners, provides system level expertise second
to none in the industry and available around the
clock.
All aEMCs engineering and design services are
available outside of North America through a network
of global partners.
EMC TRAINING
aEMCs has partnered with leading edge EMC
instructor specialists, Donald White Consultants
Inc., to provide twenty-nine generic and applications
courses. We provide tailored, in-house, on site
EMC/EMI courses to help bring your engineering
staff and technicians up to speed. EMC Design
and EMI Control courses have been scheduled at
key locations in North America throughout the
year. Please click on our "EMC Training"
link for further details.
ELECTRICAL CAD
In addition to the EMC software and engineering
services focus, Advanced EMC Solutions has established
an Electrical CAD division. With respect to Electrical
CAD, aEMCs represents Patrucco S.A.S., headquartered
in Italy. Patrucco offers integrated software
solutions (CAD-CAE) to both industrial and educational
electrical/electronic design markets. aEMCs is
proud to be the exclusive North American distributor
of Patrucco's Uni-Tool - a complete software package
for electrical design. Please refer to the "Software"
page on our website and click on "Patrucco
UNI-TOOL" for more detailed information.
The
products and services offered by aEMCs are all
geared to enhance productivity, reduce engineering
time, result in fewer prototypes and eventually
in lower costs to market. The management of aEMCs
is committed to keeping our company on the leading
edge of technology and is continually searching
for innovative solutions to meet our customers'
needs.
